b) Explain how this assignment relates to the standard
The standards relate to the year-end accumulative essay because we were given the option of choosing 4 out of 6 standards and then another 3. After we chose the three standards that we were confident that we could write about, we wrote at least 2 examples for each standard where we could relate it into our lives. We had to be exact and very detailed in each of our examples. We had to describe how we could apply physical science and how we still apply it everyday in our lives. We also had to explain how the standard relates to the entire unit as well.

2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
In order to do well on this assignment, I had to go through a very long process. First, I had to make sure I was on task and did all of my work on time. As I was choosing my standards, I had to put a lot of thought into it because I needed to explain how I could apply it to my life. When I was working on my clouds and thinking of examples, I made sure to be as descriptive as I could and also explain how that would relate to both the standard and the unit. Next, I wrote the introduction and the conclusion so that it would tie together the entire essay. I described what physical science was and why it was important to me. As I wrote my essay I made sure there were smooth transitions and that everything would connect together.

For this essay, there were many ways we could have done it but we were given the option to choose the one we had the most confidence in. The essay demonstrates if I can also peer edit and use the aspects that they are good at and use it to better my essay. Another academic strength and the most important is that I can apply things I learn in class and apply it into my life. I will apply the knowledge of science in my everyday life. With this essay, I learned that I am able to apply science into my life by doing simple, everyday things like walking to school, carrying grocery bags and even drinking water. By walking to school and coming back home, I am applying the science standard of reference points and velocity. By carrying grocery bags, I have to apply the unit of force. By drinking water and beverages that will not kill me, I am using the knowledge of the pH scale and acids, bases, and neutrals.
