The Qur'an is the Muslim Holy book. The Sunnah is the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad, used as a guide for living. The Qur'an and Sunnah is important because they are the guidlines for Muslim life. They are the primary sources of Islamic beleif, practice, law, and influence in daily life. The Sunnah are expectations of Muslims, The Five Pillars of Islam. All Muslims are expected to follow The Five Pillars of Islam, which are: 1) Faith, beleive and say "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet; 2) Prayer, pray in Arabic five times a day at a specific time facing the holy city, Mecca; 3) Alms, give to the poor and needy; 4) Fasting, fast during the month of Ramadan each year, avoiding all foods and beverages between sunrise and sunset; 5) Pilgrimage, make a journey/pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. The Qur'an is the guidlines for behavior, active worshiping, and rules for daily life.
