1. Rewrite the standard in your own words. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
Write a narrative story to make the reader develop real or imagined experiences using techniques , details, and well plot out sentences.
The writing exam 4 relates to the standard because for the writing exam, we were given a prompt and we had to write a story based on the prompt. We had to use sensory detail. We also had to learn the different types of narratives in order to write each type. We had to use the correct techniques to complete and do well on the writing exam. We also had to follow the plot map of a narrative and have the main point where our climax would be.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
In order to do well on the writing exam 4, I studied my notes days before the writing exam. I wanted to be prepared so I looked over my notes which told me the different types of techniques and the plot map for making a narrative. When we had homework or class work that made us write narratives for practice, I worked really hard on them. I made sure my narrative had a lot of description and had a fun and interesting plot. On the day of the writing exam, I took my time to plot out my story. I made sure it was interesting.

The writing exam 4 demonstrates the strength of being able to write a story or narrative based on the prompt that is given. We had to be creative. We had to make up and interesting story so it would make people want to read it but we still had to follow the prompt. I think the writing exam also demonstrates the strength of controlling your time. During the writing exam, we were given a specific time limit and we had to finish in time.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by …
I could have improved my work by being careful with my spelling. I should have made sure my spelling was all correct. I should have better managed my time. I had to rush at the last seconds because I lost focus through the times that we were given.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply the skill of being descriptive in everyday life. I will use it when I talk, and when I do research projects. I will also use the skill of creativity when I do projects in different classes and when I have to design or think of something that is new and creative, like planning events or making posters. I will use the skill of writing in daily life. We have to write in all classes and it will help me improve my works.
